Conditions for the 2011 QRL Footy Tipping Competition

 

The QRL Footy Tipping Competition will be conducted over the NRL Round matches and Intrust Super Cup Round matches played each week in the 2011 Season.

The NRL consists of 26 Rounds and the Intrust Super Cup of 22 Rounds.

The Competition will commence on Friday, March 11 and will conclude after the final NRL match in Round 26 is played on Sunday, September 4. The Finals Series matches of both Competitions are not included.

It should be noted that rounds 6 and 17 of the Intrust Super Cup are split rounds.

The following Points will be awarded each week of the Competition-

  • Each Correct Nominated Winning Team               1 Point
  • Each Correct Nominated Drawn Match                 3 Points
  • All Nominated Matches Correct                          2 Bonus Points

NB The result for each Match will be based on the Score when the Referee signals full-time.

If a registered Entrant fails to lodge an entry during the course of the Competition that person will be allocated automatically the points equal to the lowest score for that Round.

Where a person desires to enter the Competition after it has commenced that Entrant will be awarded the Away Team winners for those Rounds preceding his/her entry into the Competition.

Entries must be lodged on the QRL Website by 5.30pm (A.E.S.T.) on the Friday of that Round of the Competition, unless another deadline is specified at any time by the QRL.

Only one Entry per person will be accepted. Should it be found that a person lodged more than one Entry, all such Entries will be disqualified.

 

The Winner of the Competition will be the leading Points-scorer at its conclusion after Round 26 and will receive the “Winner’s Prize” as outlined below.

In the event of there being more than one person with the highest number of Points, the Competition Winner will be determined by a draw conducted by the Managing Director of the QRL on Monday, September 5. The Winner will be notified by email and his/her name will be published on the QRL Website.

Winner’s Prize

The Winner will receive:-

2 VIP Tickets to the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final Function and Match on September 25, 2011 at Suncorp Satdium.

Air Travel to Brisbane and return from the Major Airport closest to the Winner’s Home Centre and 1 night’s Accommodation (if applicable)for 2 persons to attend the Grand Final.

(This Air Travel is applicable to Australian Ports only)

2 Premium Reserved Seats at the NRL Grand Final in Sydney on Sunday, October 2 2011.

Accommodation for 2 Persons for 2 Nights in Sydney

Air Travel for 2 Persons to Sydney and return from the Major Airport closest to the Winner’s Home Centre

(This Air Travel Component is applicable to Australian Ports only)

 

The Entrant gaining the highest number of Points in each Round of the Competition will receive a ‘Weekly Prize’ as outlined below.

In the event of there being more than one person with the highest number of points, the Weekly Prize Winner will be determined by a draw conducted by the Managing Director of the QRL on the next working day after that Round and his/her name will be published on the QRL Website.

Weekly Prize

The Winner will receive:-

  • Items of QRL, Crushers Leagues Club, XXXX or State of Origin Team / Series Merchandise (e.g. Football, Cap, T Shirt) to be selected by the QRL.

 

At the conclusion of Round 26, the Managing Director of the QRL will conduct a “Bonus Draw” involving the 26 Weekly Prize Winners. The selected Bonus Draw Winner will receive the following Prize:-

  • Air Travel to Brisbane and return from the Major Airport closest to the Winner’s Home Centre and 1 night’s Accommodation (if applicable) for 2 persons to attend the Grand Final.

In lodging an Entry in the Competition the Entrant agrees to be bound by the QRL Privacy Policy and the Competition terms and conditions outlined above and hereunder.

1. If an Entrant breaches any of the terms and conditions, the QRL reserves the right to unilaterally disqualify that Entrant.

2. The QRL is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation.

3. Any decision made by the QRL in conjunction with the Competition is final and no complaint will be acknowledged or accepted.

4. Both the “Competition Winner’s” Prize and the “Weekly Winner’s Bonus Draw” Prize are personal to those Winners and cannot be transferred for use by any other person.
